Landscapes

By robert

I have always been a people photographer. I enjoy face expressions and images that tell a story of every day life. over the last week I have been experimenting with landscapes. I am finding it to be a new challenge for me. A couple of the biggest challenges is to sit and wait for the light to be just right. I am so use to using my own light gear and having control of the light. Getting me to sit and wait for anything drives me nuts. I would rather spend the time looking for a big ladder to move the sun where I need it to be :-) The other thing is I am use to organizing a set. move a lamp here add trash there and so on. But with landscapes organizing rocks and mountains is impossible ;-) So I spend a lot of time hiking around and really trying to find something that catches my eye. When shooting models and people I can pull in 800 shots in a day. with landscapes I feel like im walking 800 miles a day to come home with one photo I actually like. Well this is my one photo from yesterdays 800 mile walk :-)
